Muditā is a Buddhist concept meaning "sympathetic joy"—the practice of finding genuine happiness in the success and good fortune of others. Rather than seeing others' wins as our losses, muditā teaches us that joy is not a finite resource; celebrating others actually expands our own capacity for happiness.
